At Bija Yoga, we offer yoga classes taught in the Iyengar Tradition.  We also offer Feldenkrais classes. We welcome students of all levels of learning; offering beginning, mixed and intermediate classes . We have workshops and Intensives with teachers from around the world.

Yoga classes are based on the teachings of B.K.S Iyengar, where alignment and integration of body, mind and breath are in harmony. Many of our teachers have both taught and practiced Iyengar yoga for decades and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to their classes . We ensure that each student is taught in a safe and progressive manner.

Brahma-viharas -exploring the heart practices

The brahma-viharas are beautiful and potent practices that serve to untangle us from the constriction of separateness, the injury of self judgment and are a powerful antidote to fear in all forms. These four sublime attitudes are loving kindness, compassion-self-compassion, joy and equanimity.
In this 4 week course we will explore meditative practices that cultivate these states of heart and mind, planting the seeds for calm, joy and ease to arise.

Nina Gold has been teaching yoga in the SF bay area since 1998. She has been a practitioner of mindfulness meditation since 2005. She is on the board of SF Insight and is currently midway through a two year teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
