Larry Lopez
Larry is a Certified Iyengar Teacher. His classes are a fusion of his life experiences and vigorous training in the Iyengar method. Through his humor, compassion, and uncompromising style, Larry guides his students beyond their physical and mental limits to bring about transformation.

In 2002 Larry and Robin opened Bija Yoga, a school for learning and studying Iyengar Yoga. Larry travels to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family regularly while continuing his studies with Manouso Manos and Gloria Goldberg.

Michael Lucey
Michael began studying Iyengar yoga in 1982 while living in England, and from his very first class has been fascinated by the many ways yoga can transform your relation to your body, mind, and breath. He completed the Advanced Studies Program at The Yoga Room in Berkeley in 1993, and began teaching yoga classes there in 1992. Joan White has been an important mentor for him over the years, as have Donald Moyer and Mary Lou Weprin. These days he studies regularly with Manouso Manos and Gloria Goldberg. His visit to the RIMYI in Pune in June 2011 will be his sixth trip there. Michael is certified at the Junior Intermediate II level. His teaching is clear and informative, with the goal of encouraging students to develop their own ability to explore what yoga has to offer.

Ramanand Patel
Ramanand's extensive, distinct, and lifelong yoga experiences inform both his yoga practice and his teaching style. He is recognized and respected internationally and many in the yoga community regard him as one of the world's foremost yoga instructors.

Ramanand actively encourages both learning and sharing of ideas amongst his students and peers. Furthermore, he is especially skilled as an innovator in the use of props and in working with students who have special needs.

Stephanie Rubinstein
Stephanie walked into her first Iyengar yoga class in 2005 and was immediately drawn to this system of yoga. Iyengar yoga offers students the opportunity to learn to go inward and teaches one to apply what is learned in asana practice to all aspects of daily life. She is now in her second year of the Bija Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training program and studies regularly with Manouso Manos and Athena Pappas. Stephanie brings clear instruction and joy to all her classes.
